About me

I am an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a Master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of South Florida and a post-graduate Family Nurse Practitioner certificate from the University of Massachusetts Boston. As an ANCC Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and adjunct faculty member at the University of South Florida and Nova Southeastern University, I provide comprehensive psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and adults. I have spent my career serving communities throughout Florida, including Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and now Pinellas County, providing compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to each individual's unique needs. My approach to care is rooted in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. I offer comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions, partnering with each individual to understand their unique needs, strengths, and life experiences. Together, we develop personalized, goal-oriented treatment plans designed to promote lasting improvement and emotional well-being. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in their treatment. My goal is to help individuals overcome challenges, build resilience, and achieve meaningful improvements in their mental health and overall quality of life through compassionate, high-quality psychiatric care.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a treatment plan tailored to your unique needs. My goal is to create a comfortable, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel heard and understood. Discuss your current concerns, symptoms, and what brought you to treatment. Review your medical, psychiatric, family, and social history. Explore how your symptoms are affecting your work, relationships, sleep, and daily life. Review any previous treatments, medications, and therapy experiences. Complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to better understand your needs. Discuss possible diagnoses, answer your questions, and explain treatment options based on current evidence and your personal goals. If appropriate, develop a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, psychotherapy, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals for additional services. I believe treatment is most effective when it is a collaborative process. I encourage questions and want you to be an active participant in every decision regarding your care. My approach is thorough, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practice, with the goal of helping you achieve meaningful and lasting improvements in your mental health and overall well-being. Whether this is your first experience seeking mental health care or you have received treatment before, you can expect to be treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism throughout our work together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My 30+ years of psychiatric experience include providing comprehensive mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults across a broad continuum of care, including virtual, inpatient, outpatient, residential, and assisted living settings. I have practiced in private practice in Hollywood, Florida, and currently practice in St. Petersburg, Florida. This diverse clinical experience has equipped me to assess and treat a wide range of mental health disorders while developing individualized, evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
