Compassionate Psychiatric Care in English and Spanish | 20+ Years of Experience
My practice provides comprehensive mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individualized treatment for conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and other psychiatric disorders. My approach emphasizes compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care, with a focus on promoting emotional well-being, improving daily functioning, and enhancing overall quality of life. I provide services in both English and Spanish to better meet the needs of my patients.
First session
During our first consultation, clients can expect a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where they feel comfortable sharing their concerns. I will take time to understand their mental health history, current symptoms, personal experiences, and treatment goals. Together, we will explore their needs, discuss appropriate treatment options, and develop an individualized plan that may include medication management and recommendations for additional therapeutic support when appropriate. My goal is for every client to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and confident about the next steps toward improving their mental health and overall well-being. Services are available in both English and Spanish.
Strengths
I bring compassion, empathy, patience, and over 20 years of clinical experience in primary care and psychiatry to my sessions. I believe in creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns and know they are truly being heard. My strengths include active listening, clear communication, and the ability to understand each patient’s unique needs and experiences. I take a personalized, evidence-based approach to psychiatric evaluations and medication management, working collaboratively with patients to develop treatment plans that align with their goals. I also provide care in both English and Spanish, helping me connect with patients from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to build trusting relationships and empower each patient to improve their mental health and overall quality of life.
Ideal clients
My ideal clients include adolescents ages 13–17, young adults, adults, and older adults who are seeking support to improve their mental health and overall well-being. I welcome individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, insomnia, ADHD, and other mental health concerns who are looking for compassionate, personalized care. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and comfortable discussing their challenges. I enjoy working collaboratively with patients to understand their needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and explore appropriate medication management options. I welcome patients from diverse cultural backgrounds and provide services in both English and Spanish.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles into my practice to help patients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I encourage patients to identify negative thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and learn practical skills to manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. Depending on each patient's needs, I may use CBT-based techniques such as cognitive reframing, problem-solving, behavioral activation, and relaxation strategies as part of treatment planning and supportive counseling. I work collaboratively with patients to establish realistic goals and apply these skills to everyday situations. When appropriate, I also recommend working with a licensed therapist for ongoing, structured CBT. My goal is to empower patients with practical tools that support emotional well-being, resilience, and long-term progress.
