I am a mental health counselor with 15 years of experience working as an individual and group therapist. My counseling style is warm, interactive, and collaborative. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution focused treatment approach. I work with adults who are going through a variety of life challenges and transitions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect a thorough discussion of what is bringing them into therapy, what they would like to talk about or work on, ask any questions they may have, and make a plan for their care together moving forward. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have had extensive training and work experience to provide the best care possible. I continue learning so I can have a wide variety of skills and tools to provide my clients.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, career challenges, and postpartum depression. I also have worked with individuals and military veterans and spouses with trauma and PTSD.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is very helpful with challenging negative thoughts that can happen when someone is experiencing anxiety or depression.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT has so many skills to use when feeling anxious or out of control. Mindfulness and grounding are critical for self-care.

Trauma Informed Care

A trauma informed approach and perspective allows me to help my clients recognize how certain behaviors, relationships, and symptoms are related to trauma.
