Miss Laurie Horton is a registered licensed social worker who has worked in private practice for over 27 years . Her practice includes treatment for adolescences, teenagers and adults dedicated to the specialized treatment of eating disorders and general psychiatric conditions including depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, as well as treating general family issues. Laurie uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and family-based therapy to help clients move past their internal struggles and motivate them to fulfill their life goals She provides a warm, caring, non- judgmental environment, while being enthusiastic and very passionate about her work in helping her clients attain their life goals

When a client leaves a session, they will feel empowered to reach their goals. During the session we will discuss effective tools that will help them attain the desired changes in their life.

I have been in private practice for 27 years. I work with children, teenagers and adults suffering from anxiety disorders such as OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorders, Panic Disorder, etc. I also treat individuals suffering from various mood disorders such as Bipolar Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder ect... . I also specialize in treating individuals suffering for Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, Orthorexia and other eating disorders.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy enables clients to change their thinking and motivate them to push through areas where they may struggle. CBT is very helpful in a therapeutic setting for this approach focuses on short term goals, current problem resolution and restructuring detrimental thought patterns and behaviors.
