LMHC14 years of experience

Greetings! I am a Florida-licensed mental health therapist dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate life’s challenges in a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. My approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a humanistic perspective. I provide thoughtful feedback and support that help clients gain greater perspective and insight into their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Together, we explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop practical strategies that align with each client’s unique needs, values, and goals. I believe every individual has the capacity for growth and change. My role is to help clients recognize their strengths, build self-awareness, and develop the confidence and skills needed to navigate challenges in a healthy and meaningful way. By identifying and shifting patterns of thoughts and behaviors that may no longer serve them, clients can move toward greater emotional well-being, fulfillment, and a more satisfying life. My areas of focus include life transitions, parenting challenges, coping skills, attachment and relationship concerns, and emotional and behavioral challenges. I strive to meet each client where they are and provide a supportive therapeutic space where they can explore their experiences, gain insight, and work toward lasting, positive change.

First session

During our first session together, I will welcome you and introduce you to a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. We will review the consent forms and discuss the therapeutic process, including confidentiality, its limits, and your rights as a client. I will also explain what you can expect from our work together and answer any questions you may have. Before your first session, all required consent and intake forms must be completed and submitted. This allows us to begin our work together smoothly and ensures that you have an opportunity to review important information about the therapeutic process, confidentiality, and your rights as a client. The first session will include a biopsychosocial assessment, during which we will explore your presenting concerns, current challenges, goals for therapy, and relevant personal, family, social, and mental health history. This information will help me develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, emotions, strengths, and needs. Together, we will collaboratively develop a treatment plan tailored to your goals and discuss what to expect in future sessions. Above all, I will prioritize creating a safe and welcoming space where you feel heard, understood, validated, and supported throughout the therapeutic process.

Strengths

As a provider, I bring a warm, empathetic, and humanistic approach into each session. One of my strengths is being an active and attentive listener. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable and openly sharing their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, authenticity, and collaboration. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I work alongside them to understand their concerns, identify their goals, and recognize the strengths and resources they already possess.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone seeking individual psychotherapy to navigate personal, emotional, and relationship challenges. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship issues, or major life changes, I work well with clients who want practical tools alongside compassionate understanding. If you want to feel more in control, manage your emotions, and make positive changes in your life, I’m here to support you.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through collaborative exploration, cognitive restructuring, and behavioral strategies, I help clients develop healthier thinking patterns and coping skills that they can apply outside of therapy.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach by exploring how a person’s past relationships and experiences may shape the way they relate to others today. I pay attention to patterns around trust, closeness, conflict, and emotional safety. I use the therapeutic relationship to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can better understand these patterns, identify their emotional needs, and practice developing healthier and more secure relationships.
