I’m a licensed social work therapist who believes that everyone deserves a safe, welcoming space where they can be truly heard and understood. I work with adults and couples who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Together, we’ll work to better understand what you’re going through, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. I have been licensed for over 20 years and love meeting clients where they are and helping them on their journey using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Therapy and Mindfulness. I look forward to meeting you.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin creating a comfortable, trusting space for therapy. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You don’t need to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say—I’ll help guide the conversation at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel heard, understood, and more comfortable with the process, with a clearer sense of how we can work together toward your goals.

Strengths

I bring warmth, compassion, and genuine curiosity to each session. I take the time to listen without judgment and to understand each client as a whole person, rather than focusing only on the challenges that brought them to therapy. My approach is collaborative and individualized—I meet clients where they are, build on their existing strengths, and work together to find practical ways to move forward. I want my clients to feel comfortable being themselves, knowing they have a therapist who is truly present, supportive, and invested in their growth.

Ideal clients

My ideal clients are adults and couples who are ready to better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and make meaningful changes in their lives. They may be navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, feelings of being overwhelmed, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. Some may be looking for support during a difficult season, while others want to grow, gain clarity, and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting. Most importantly, I welcome clients who are open to a collaborative process and willing to explore their experiences with honesty and curiosity. My goal is to meet each person where they are and help them move toward greater confidence, balance, and fulfillment.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a practical approach that looks at the connection between the way we think, how we feel, and how we respond to situations. Sometimes, the thoughts we have about ourselves or what’s happening around us can add to stress, anxiety, or feeling stuck. In therapy, we’ll gently explore these patterns and work together to develop healthier, more helpful ways of thinking and responding. The goal isn’t to “think positive,” but to help you gain a clearer perspective, feel more in control, and develop tools that can make everyday life feel more manageable.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapy is about learning to slow down, become more aware of what you’re experiencing, and be more present in the moment. We often spend so much time thinking about the past or worrying about what might happen next that we lose touch with what we need right now. In therapy, we’ll practice noticing your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without judging yourself for having them. This can help you respond to life’s challenges with greater calm, clarity, and self-compassion rather than feeling overwhelmed or reacting automatically. The goal is not to empty your mind, but to develop a greater sense of awareness and choice in how you respond.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, focuses on helping you build a meaningful life while learning to make room for difficult thoughts and feelings. Instead of trying to get rid of uncomfortable emotions or constantly fighting against them, we work on understanding and accepting them without allowing them to control your choices. Together, we’ll explore what matters most to you—your values, relationships, and goals—and identify small, practical steps that move you in that direction. The goal is to help you become more flexible in how you respond to life’s challenges, stay connected to what is important to you, and create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.
