New to Grow
I am a licensed clinical social worker and having been working in the mental health field for approximately five years, in a variety of settings. For the last four years, I have been doing community-based crisis work and strive to meet my clients where they are at and find solutions to best support them. I received my MSW at Boston College and have been working in the Capital Region of NY for the past six years. I look forward to welcoming you to therapy and congratulations on taking a meaningful step towards your future!
I am committed to creating a safe, supportive environment for my clients. In our first session, you can expect a small introduction of myself, my therapeutic approach, expectations for confidentiality, and protocols for crisis situations. I'll ask that you bring your own expectations and goals to a first session, so that we can collaboratively establish a treatment plan, together.
I am focused on solution based therapy, with the goal of helping my clients establish goals and make meaningful, tangible progress in their day to day life. I specialize in working with adults who have experienced trauma and loss. I am also experienced in working with adult with severe and persistent mental illness, as well as supporting their loved ones, who are trying to cope with difficult situations.
I have experience working with a broad spectrum of individuals facing challenges in their day-to-day lives and am looking forward to supporting individuals and families in therapy who are seeking to improve their mental health and functioning. I specialize in working with individuals who have had traumatic experiences, working with families who may be dealing with a severe and persistent mental illness or who are supporting a loved one who is chronically ill.
