Cindy Hatley
Hello, and welcome to my practice! My name is Cindy Hatley, and I am the owner of Empower Mental Health LLC. I am a dual board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over a decade of experience. I specialize in treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions by utilizing evidence-based therapies tailored to each client's unique needs. I provide a safe, confidential space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. Whether you are navigating life’s challenges or seeking to enhance your overall mental well-being, I am dedicated to supporting you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.
First session
I’m so glad you’ve taken this important step toward prioritizing your mental health and well-being. My practice is centered on providing a supportive, compassionate, and judgment-free space where you feel fully comfortable sharing your story. During our first session, which typically lasts 45–60 minutes, we will focus on getting to know you as a whole person, moving beyond just your symptoms to understand your unique needs and goals.
Strengths
I believe the foundation of effective mental health care is a trusting, collaborative relationship. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. As a dual board-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring a unique, whole-person perspective to your care. I recognize that emotional and physical health are deeply interconnected, allowing me to consider the full picture when developing your individualized treatment plan. Rather than a one-size-fits-all model, I partner with you to create solutions that align with your values and lifestyle. Whether your care involves medication, therapy recommendations, and/or lifestyle adjustments, I prioritize informed, shared decision-making to help you achieve your best outcomes.
Ideal clients
I welcome adolescents and adults who are ready to explore their mental health and take an active, collaborative role in their treatment. My ideal client doesn't need to have all the answers or know exactly where to start; they simply need to be open to working together toward meaningful change. I am particularly effective at supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, trauma, and various emotional or behavioral health concerns.
Treatment methods
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients explore their goals, resolve uncertainty about change, and build confidence in their ability to make meaningful, lasting improvements. Change can be challenging, and it's normal to have mixed feelings. Rather than telling you what you "should" do, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can explore what matters most to you and identify the motivation that comes from your own values and priorities.
