New to Grow
Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally drained trying to keep up with life’s demands? Maybe you’re navigating a difficult relationship, a life transition, or feeling like you’ve lost a sense of yourself. If you’ve been wondering whether things can feel better—you’re not alone. I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) therapist working with children, adolescents, and adults. I provide a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive space where you can feel heard and understood. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, build coping strategies, and help you regain a sense of clarity and control. I also offer immigration evaluations and work closely with individuals navigating complex and sensitive experiences with care and compassion.
During our first session, my goal is to create a comfortable and welcoming space where you feel safe to share at your own pace. We’ll start by getting to know each other—I'll introduce myself and explain how I work, and then invite you to share what brought you to therapy and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. I may ask questions about your current concerns, background, and any important experiences that have shaped where you are today. There’s no pressure to share everything at once—this is just the beginning, and we will move at a pace that feels right for you. We’ll also talk about your goals for therapy and begin to explore how we can work together to support your growth and well-being. By the end of the session, you can expect to have a clearer sense of the process and whether this feels like a good fit for you.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to build genuine, trusting relationships with clients. I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where individuals feel comfortable being themselves, which allows for deeper exploration and meaningful progress. I bring a balance of empathy and structure to my work—I meet clients where they are while also gently challenging them to grow. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and tailored to each individual’s unique needs. As a bilingual therapist, I am able to support clients in both English and Spanish, ensuring that language and cultural identity are respected and integrated into the healing process. I also focus on providing practical, evidence-based strategies that clients can apply in their daily lives. My goal is not only to help clients feel supported in the moment, but to equip them with the tools and insight needed to create lasting, meaningful change.
I am best positioned to support children, adolescents, and adults who are navigating life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and the lasting impact of stress or trauma. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, stuck, or unsure of how to manage changes in their lives—whether related to family dynamics, relationships, school or work stress, or personal identity. I work especially well with individuals who may have difficulty expressing their emotions, tend to internalize stress, or feel responsible for others. I also support clients from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including Spanish-speaking individuals and families, who are seeking a therapist who understands the importance of culture, identity, and lived experiences in the healing process. My ideal clients don’t need to have everything figured out—they just need to be open to support and willing to explore their thoughts, emotions, and patterns at their own pace. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.
Trauma Informed Care
I approach all of my work through a trauma-informed lens, recognizing that many individuals have experienced trauma in ways that impact their emotions, relationships, and sense of safety. With over 15 years in the field as a licensed clinical social worker and school-based therapist, I have extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced a range of traumatic stressors, including family disruption, loss, and complex life transitions. In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered. I integrate trauma-informed principles such as trust-building, collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and client choice into every session. I also utilize evidence-based approaches—including cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and somatic awareness—to help clients regulate their nervous system, process difficult experiences, and build resilience. My goal is to meet each client where they are, helping them move at their own pace while strengthening their sense of control, identity, and overall well-being.
