During your first session, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, heard, and understood. We’ll start by discussing what brought you to care and what you hope to achieve through treatment. I’ll ask questions about your background, current concerns, and overall well-being to gain a clear understanding of your needs. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share expectations, and learn more about how we can work together. Together, we’ll begin creating a personalized treatment plan that may include therapy, medication management, or a combination of both—depending on your goals and comfort level. Most importantly, you can expect a safe, judgment-free space where you are respected, supported, and encouraged to take an active role in your healing journey.

I have extensive experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors that contribute to distress. CBT is one of the most effective, evidence-based approaches for treating a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and stress management. In my practice, I use CBT to help clients gain insight into the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and actions. Motivational Interviewing

I incorporate Motivational Interviewing (MI) as a core part of my therapeutic approach to help clients strengthen their own motivation and commitment to change. With years of experience using MI across diverse populations, I have seen how this client-centered, collaborative method empowers individuals to explore and resolve ambivalence, fostering real and lasting growth. In my practice, I use MI to create a nonjudgmental and supportive environment where clients feel heard and respected. Through active listening, empathy, and reflective dialogue, I help clients identify their personal values and goals, uncover internal motivation, and develop the confidence needed to make positive behavioral changes.
