I am a licensed and dual Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I practice Psychiatry and Functional Medicine. As a PMHNP, I take the time to get to know my patients and allow them to be included in the decision-making process. I believe in the importance of educating my patients in their treatment options so that they can make informed decisions. I understand and recognize the negative stigma associated with mental health, but I can assure you that it is my objective to alleviate this stigma while making sure that my patients feel comfortable, and able to trust me when it comes to their mental health concerns. I will always encourage natural remedies and ways to improve mental health with natural body processes, however, when medications are necessary or requested by the patient, we can certainly discuss possible treatment options.
I always encourage my patients to prioritize their mental health as much as their physical health, as it can be just as problematic (or even more so) if left untreated. I have gained valuable clinical experience in the field of psychiatry and feel confident that together we can achieve a healthier, and more confident “you”.
