New to Grow
Hi, I’m Lindsey Snyder, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing trauma-informed psychotherapy to adults. I work with clients navigating trauma, anxiety, mood concerns, identity development, and life transitions, with particular interest in religious trauma and LGBTQ+ affirming care. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized, integrating approaches such as Brainspotting, EMDR , CBT and DBT-informed interventions, and person-centered therapy to help clients feel supported while creating meaningful change.
I know it can be scary to open up about vulnerable parts of your life, and trust doesn’t happen overnight. In our first session, you can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. We’ll spend the first few sessions understanding your background, what you’re facing, and what you hope to get from therapy. From there, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, focusing on creating a safe, supportive space where you don’t have to go through this alone.
As a gay Christian woman, I understand firsthand how complex it can be to navigate identity, faith, and the impact of religious trauma. I provide LGBTQ+ and faith-affirming care, with particular experience supporting clients exploring their Christian faith, identity development, or the intersection of both. I also bring experience from community mental health and inpatient psychiatric settings, which has allowed me to work with a wide range of clients and mental health concerns.
I am best positioned to support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, mood concerns, identity development, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients, individuals exploring the intersection of faith and identity, and those healing from religious trauma. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected from themselves, or emotionally exhausted and are looking for a supportive, collaborative space to better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and build healthier coping patterns and relationships.
EMDR
I offer EMDR to help clients process distressing experiences, reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories, and build greater emotional regulation and resilience. My approach emphasizes emotional safety, grounding, and moving at a pace that feels manageable for each client while integrating practical coping skills and supportive interventions throughout treatment.
Brainspotting
I use Brainspotting Phase 1 techniques as part of a trauma-informed approach to help clients process trauma, anxiety, and emotional stressors in a supportive and grounded way. My approach emphasizes safety, collaboration, and helping clients build greater emotional awareness and resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I incorporate CBT techniques to help clients better understand the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while building practical coping skills for anxiety, stress, and mood-related concerns.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT-informed techniques to support clients in building skills for managing emotions, coping with stress, improving communication, and navigating relationships more effectively.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, authenticity, and creating a supportive, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship. I believe clients are the experts on their own experiences, and I work collaboratively to help clients feel heard, understood, and empowered as they move toward their goals and personal growth.
