Nicole George
I am a credentialed Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in Olympia, WA, dedicated to guiding individuals across the lifespan through their healing journeys. Many of my clients have already found great success in navigating difficult life experiences but are hoping to improve the quality of their connections - with themselves and others. I am particularly sensitive to clients with conflicting emotional and relational difficulties related to neurodivergence, significant life transitions—including divorce, grief and loss, and parenthood—and interpersonal violence and other forms of trauma. Utilizing a trauma-informed lens which looks at how the families we grew up in impact our relationships today, I strongly believe in empowering clients to be the best versions of themselves and recognize the "Kairos"—the opportune moment—when healing begins. My practice integrates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including nutrition for mental health - helping clients think and feel better by changing their diet, somatic psychotherapy - applying mind-body healing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) - helping clients integrate and heal traumatic memories and reduce emotional distress, cognitive-behavioral techniques - making connections between thinking and feeling to get out of unhelpful thinking patterns, and solution-focused methods - looking at what's working and expanding that, all aimed at fostering holistic health.
I aim to create that healing space with you as we explore together how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that you can begin to make targeted change.
First session
I want new clients to feel comfortable and safe, not worrying about masking or filtering themselves. I am a listening ear and compassionate holding space for whatever anyone may bring in.
Strengths
I want to create a safe harbor with you where you feel protected and secure - a place where you can rest and replenish your heart and mind. It's so important to have someone to talk to where you can just be yourself and not have to worry about being judged or misperceived. I hope to create that healing space with you as we explore together how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that you can begin to make targeted change. I consider it an honor to be invited into your healing journey and prioritize the sacredness of this experience.
