I’m not a “just sit there and nod” kind of therapist. I show up as real, engaged, and honest, because therapy should feel like a conversation that actually goes somewhere. I’ll support you, but I’ll also challenge you when you’re stuck in patterns that aren’t serving you. You don’t have to have the right words or a clear starting point, just showing up is enough. From there, we’ll figure it out together in a way that feels genuine and useful.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel nerve-wracking—but the first session is really just a conversation. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out or to share more than you’re ready to. We’ll talk about what’s been going on for you, what brought you in, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I may ask some questions to better understand your background, but it won’t feel like an interrogation, we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You can expect me to be warm, direct, and engaged. I’ll help guide the conversation so you don’t feel stuck, and we’ll start identifying what might actually help you moving forward. By the end of the session, my goal is for you to feel a little more at ease, a little more understood, and clearer on what working together could look like.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my biggest strengths is my ability to balance being supportive with being direct. I’ll meet you with empathy and understanding, and I’ll also help you notice patterns that may be keeping you stuck and work with you to change them. I’m highly practical. I don’t believe therapy should stay in the room, so I focus on giving you tools and strategies you can actually use in your everyday life, especially when things feel overwhelming. I have a strong background in working with anxiety, depression, and high-stress situations, which allows me to stay grounded and present, even when things feel intense. I’m comfortable sitting with difficult emotions and helping you navigate them without judgment.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Therapy can suck—but it doesn’t have to. If it’s ever felt awkward, frustrating, or like it just wasn’t clicking, you’re not alone. I work with people dealing with anxiety, depression, and life’s curveballs who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or mentally exhausted. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and build tools that actually work. I’m direct, down-to-earth, and focused on helping therapy feel useful, honest, and worth your time.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

If you’ve ever felt stuck in your own head, overthinking, second-guessing, or caught in negative thought loops, CBT is a powerful place to start. We’ll identify patterns that aren’t serving you and replace them with ones that feel more balanced and realistic. This isn’t just “talking about it”. You’ll walk away with practical tools you can actually use in your day-to-day life to manage anxiety, stress, and depression.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is about finding that balance. Building real-life skills to manage those moments when everything feels like too much. That might look like learning how to pause instead of react, how to communicate your needs without things escalating, or how to get through a hard moment without making it worse.

EMDR

Sometimes the issue isn’t just what’s happening now, it’s what you’ve been carrying for a long time. EMDR helps process those experiences that still feel “stuck,” whether that’s trauma, painful memories, or negative beliefs about yourself that won’t seem to go away. You don’t have to have the perfect words for it, and you don’t have to relive everything in detail. I’ll guide you through the process in a way that feels safe and manageable, helping your brain do what it naturally wants to do, heal.
