I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma.

I have a special interest in supporting individuals from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, approaching care with respect, cultural sensitivity, and a person-centered focus.

I have a special interest in supporting individuals from diverse and multicultural backgrounds, approaching care with respect, cultural sensitivity, and a person-centered focus. My practice emphasizes comprehensive medication management, and I also incorporate supportive therapy, utilizing methods from CBT and trauma-informed care to foster lasting healing. I aim to create a calm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and actively engaged in their treatment.

First session

In our first session, you can expect a thorough and thoughtful conversation where I take time to really get to know you. We’ll review your past history, current health concerns, coping strategies, and daily lifestyle. I’ll ask many questions, not to overwhelm you, but to get the clearest picture of what you’re experiencing. The more information you share, the better I can understand your challenges and how they affect your life, which helps me create a treatment plan that truly fits your needs. My approach is holistic, so I look at the whole person—not just symptoms—to support both your immediate concerns and long-term well-being.

Strengths

My greatest strengths lie in providing comprehensive, evidence-based medication management, grounded in years of experience addressing both acute and chronic health conditions, many of which significantly impact mental health. I have extensive experience managing complex cases where physical and mental health intersect, allowing me to tailor pharmacological treatment plans to each client’s unique needs. While medication management is my primary focus, I also integrate components of cognitive behavioral therapy and supportive talk therapy into my practice, helping clients develop insight, coping skills, and strategies to manage day-to-day stressors. I prioritize collaborative care, actively involving clients in shared decision-making and partnering closely with other healthcare providers to ensure continuity and coordination of care. I take the time to clearly explain diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes, empowering clients to make informed choices and fostering a sense of partnership in their mental health journey. Additionally, I bring cultural sensitivity, holistic thinking, and a person-centered perspective, aiming to address not only immediate symptoms but also to equip clients in building long-term resilience, adaptive coping skills, and sustained emotional wellness.

Ideal clients

I am best suited to help adults and older adults who are dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma. Many of my clients come to me seeking relief from overwhelming symptoms, a clearer understanding of their mental health, and guidance in choosing the right medication options. I also work with individuals who appreciate a collaborative, respectful approach—those who want to feel heard and involved in their care while learning practical strategies to manage daily stress, improve functioning, and strengthen coping skills. My goal is to help clients not only feel better immediately but also develop tools for lasting emotional wellness. *** I do not hold a DEA license in Oregon and therefore cannot prescribe controlled medications in Oregon *** Please note that administrative services, including ESA letters, disability forms, FMLA paperwork, and extensive documentation requests, are not covered by insurance and may incur a separate fee.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my main focus is on comprehensive medication management to treat symptoms of anxiety, depression, and mood disorders. In addition to pharmacological treatment, I incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy and supportive talk therapy when treating anxiety and depression. I collaborate with clients to explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors to gain insight into their thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and enhance overall emotional resilience. My aim is to equip clients with evidence-based tools that not only lessen symptoms but also empower them to build resilience and achieve long-term wellness.
