Hi, I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor passionate about helping children, teens, young adults, and neurodivergent individuals better understand themselves while building emotional resilience and confidence. I work with clients navigating anxiety, emotional sensitivity, perfectionism, shame, social struggles, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive, blending evidence-based techniques with genuine connection to help clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of meaningful growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is focused on getting to know you, understanding your concerns, and creating a space where you feel comfortable and supported. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and discuss any challenges, strengths, or patterns that may be impacting your daily life. There is no pressure to have everything figured out right away. The goal is simply to begin building trust, insight, and a plan that feels manageable and personalized to your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a therapeutic environment where clients feel emotionally safe, understood, and genuinely accepted while still being challenged toward growth. I especially connect well with clients who feel deeply, overthink, struggle with shame or self-criticism, or have difficulty expressing emotions. My background working with neurodivergent children, teens, and families has strengthened my ability to adapt therapy to different developmental, emotional, and communication needs. I value balancing validation with practical skill-building, helping clients gain insight while also learning tools they can realistically apply in everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with children, teens, young adults, and neurodivergent individuals navigating anxiety, emotional sensitivity, perfectionism, self-esteem challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, social struggles, shame, and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with clients who feel deeply, overthink, mask emotions, or struggle to balance self-acceptance with growth. My approach is warm, collaborative, and developmentally supportive, with an emphasis on helping clients better understand themselves while building practical coping skills and emotional insight.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients identify the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and physical responses. In practice, this may include recognizing unhelpful thinking patterns, building coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and practicing healthier responses to stressors or triggers. I tend to incorporate CBT in a collaborative and supportive way, tailoring interventions to each client’s developmental level, personality, and goals while creating space for self-reflection, skill-building, and gradual change.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients build a healthier relationship with difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences rather than feeling stuck fighting or avoiding them. In sessions, we may focus on increasing emotional awareness, practicing mindfulness, identifying personal values, and developing flexibility in how clients respond to discomfort or stress. I often use ACT to support clients with anxiety, perfectionism, shame, emotional overwhelm, and self-criticism while encouraging movement toward meaningful and value-driven goals.

Play Therapy

I incorporate Play Therapy to help children express emotions, process experiences, and build coping skills in a developmentally appropriate and engaging way. Through play, creative activities, storytelling, and interactive interventions, children are often able to communicate feelings and challenges that may be difficult to express verbally. I use play-based techniques to support emotional regulation, social skills, anxiety management, self-expression, and strengthening confidence while creating a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I utilize Carl Rogers’ person-centered approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and accepted. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is an important part of growth and healing, so I focus on empathy, collaboration, and meeting clients where they are emotionally and developmentally. This approach helps clients build self-awareness, confidence, and trust in their own ability to navigate challenges and make meaningful changes.
