My name is Elana Kaya-Jenkins. I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who graduated from Nova Southeastern University with Highest Honors. I have over 16 years’ experience as a nurse in a variety of settings including emergency room , psychiatric inpatient and outpatient, addiction medicine and telehealth. I have a passion for helping people through the tough times in their lives and I am often recognized for being a compassionate listener. I believe that everyone’s voice should be heard and I am focused on providing quality patient care to everyone I serve.
In our first session together, we will start with brief introductions of one another and then go into specifics on how I can help you and anything else you may feel is important for you to communicate with me. Together, we will come up with a plan of action.
Having worked with a variety of different patients over the years, I believe that one of my biggest strengths is listening to what my patients are saying. Communication is key to any relationship whether it's personal or professional.
I love working with people of all ages who need help with anxiety, depression and Bipolar disorder. I have a passion for helping people feel better when treatment has failed in the past or they have given up hope. I am here to listen to you and your needs. I want to work together and make a plan that can have you living your best life moving forward.
Using Supportive therapy, I am able to connect with each patient on a personal level and help them reach their personal goals. It is used to help almost all psychiatric diagnosis and along with medication management it helps to improve long term outcomes.
