(she/her)
My approach to therapy is simple. I believe it begins with an open conversation between two or more individuals. It is a collaborative process where my role as the therapist is to help facilitate the session dictated by your needs. Sharing thoughts, fears, hopes, and concerns in a non-judgmental atmosphere fosters a safe and welcoming environment for personal growth. I provide counseling to individuals, couples, families, and young adults. My areas of interest include anxiety; depression; life transitions; parenting; maternal mental health (PPD/PPD/infertility) trauma; stress management; couples counseling; and career stress. I am excited to work with you! Through my experience at Mount Sinai Hospital and Park Avenue Psychotherapy in NYC, The Postpartum Stress Center in PA, and teaching at the University of Pittsburgh, I've become adept at working with a variety of clients. I know you will come away from sessions with a renewed sense of self-confidence and will feel equipped to tackle life's challenges.
Self-exploration through therapy should be celebrated and not stigmatized. I received graduate education and training at the University of Pittsburgh which emphasized a collaborative process between client and therapist. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment for all of my clients.
My approach is solution-focused, strengths-based, and person-centered.
I have specialized training in Postpartum Depression and perinatal mental health through The Postpartum Stress Center. I believe this area is incredibly important and perinatal mood disorders are highly treatable. I enjoy equipping new parents with the support, emotional guidance, and tools they need during such a significant life change.
Pregnancy, parenting, perinatal mood disorders (Postpartum Depression, Anxiety, etc). I have specialized training in this area from The Postpartum Stress Center.
