First session
In our first session together we will jump into introductions, discussions of expectations of therapy, and your goals for therapy. We will also dive in the things that have been most challenging or distressing in your life.
Strengths
Having worked with a vast population of clientele, I feel I am easily adaptable and relatable to my client that allows me to meet the client where they are at and help them achieve their goals.
Ideal clients
I love working with those who may be struggling with mental illness but are eager and motivated to work on themselves while learning some tools to help. The client may not feel hear or may feel lost are needing that empathetic ear to provide some support and insight.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help my clients identify their negative thoughts that could be impacting them. I help the client identify emotions that may stem from their negative thoughts and influence their behaviors.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use DBT four elements of Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness to provide tools and understanding into distressing emotions and behaviors.
