I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in California, Florida, and Tennessee, providing psychotherapy to individuals seeking meaningful, lasting change. My clinical training includes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Existential Therapy. I take an integrative, eclectic approach—thoughtfully tailoring each treatment plan to the unique needs, history, personality, and goals of the person in front of me. My areas of specialization include death and dying, grief and loss, traumatic experiences, serious mental health conditions, and mood disorders. I have extensive experience working with complex presentations, including trauma-related disorders, complicated grief, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Clients often seek me out when they are feeling stuck despite previous therapy, looking for a depth-oriented yet practical approach that integrates evidence-based interventions with insight, meaning-making, and nervous system regulation. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Florida Atlantic University in 2014 and have continued to refine my clinical focus through advanced training, consultation, and ongoing professional development. My work is grounded in both neuroscience and compassion—balancing structured, results-oriented strategies with warmth, attunement, and respect for each client’s pace. In our work together, you can expect a space that is direct yet supportive, reflective yet action-oriented. I value measurable progress, collaborative goal setting, and empowering clients with tools they can use beyond the therapy room. I am currently in private practice, serving clients in Jupiter, West Palm Beach, and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, as well as providing virtual therapy throughout Tennessee and California. My Good Life Therapy is a whole-person-centered practice grounded in the belief that healing involves the mind, body, relationships, and deeper sense of meaning. While I primarily offer virtual sessions for accessibility and flexibility, I may accommodate in-person meetings in select cases.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, we will begin with brief introductions and a thoughtful conversation about what brings you to therapy at this time. I’ll invite you to share as much or as little as feels comfortable, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. From there, we’ll begin a collaborative and intentional process focused on understanding your challenges, clarifying your goals, and identifying what may be keeping you feeling stuck. We will explore your strengths, patterns, and internal resources, while gently identifying areas that need support and growth. I also welcome your questions about how I work, what to expect from therapy, and how we can tailor the process to best support you. My intention is for you to leave our first session feeling heard, respected, and hopeful—with a clearer sense of direction and a growing confidence that meaningful change is possible.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I specialize in trauma, grief, and death & dying, bringing both deep clinical expertise and genuine compassion to every session. I work intuitively with clients to move from a place of pain and overwhelm toward greater peace, acceptance, and resilience. Grief and loss can be confusing, messy, and unpredictable—many of us carry expectations about how quickly we should heal or what “the process” should look like. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your experience is honored and your pace respected. Using evidence-based tools alongside an individualized, heart-centered approach, I help clients navigate life’s hardest moments with care, clarity, and empowerment—guiding you toward healing and a restored sense of balance.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I work primarily with adults and older adults who are navigating trauma, grief, and loss. My ideal clients are those seeking a compassionate, supportive space to process difficult experiences, build resilience, and find a renewed sense of meaning and balance in their lives. Whether you are facing the impact of past trauma, the loss of a loved one, or ongoing emotional challenges, my approach is tailored to meet you where you are and support your unique journey toward healing.
EMDR
In my psychotherapy practice, I integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a powerful, evidence-based approach to help clients process and heal from trauma, distressing memories, and deeply rooted negative beliefs. Developed by Francine Shapiro, EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to reprocess experiences that may feel “stuck,” reducing their emotional intensity and lasting impact. My approach to EMDR therapy is collaborative, attuned, and paced according to each client’s readiness. I prioritize creating a strong sense of safety and stabilization before reprocessing begins, ensuring clients feel grounded and supported throughout the process. Whether addressing single-incident trauma, complex developmental wounds, anxiety, or performance blocks, I tailor EMDR treatment to each individual’s unique history and goals, integrating it with other therapeutic modalities when helpful. My work emphasizes empowerment, resilience, and helping clients move from surviving to thriving.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, skills-based approach that focuses on helping clients recognize and shift patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress or feeling stuck. Developed by Aaron T. Beck, CBT is rooted in the understanding that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors continuously influence one another. By identifying and restructuring unhelpful thinking patterns, clients can create meaningful changes in how they feel and respond to life’s challenges. In my work, I use CBT in a collaborative and structured way, tailoring each session to the client’s specific goals and concerns. Together, we explore core beliefs, cognitive distortions, and behavioral habits that may be reinforcing anxiety, depression, stress, or low self-worth. I incorporate practical tools, reflection exercises, and real-world strategies to support lasting growth beyond the therapy room. While CBT is present-focused and action-oriented, I approach it with warmth and flexibility, ensuring clients feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout the process.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a compassionate, skills-focused approach designed to help individuals build emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. Originally developed by Marsha M. Linehan, DBT blends cognitive-behavioral strategies with acceptance-based practices, supporting clients in balancing change with self-compassion. It is particularly effective for individuals who experience intense emotions, relational challenges, impulsivity, or difficulty coping with stress. In my practice, I use DBT in a structured yet flexible way, adapting its core skills to each client’s unique needs and goals. Together, we work on increasing awareness of emotional patterns, strengthening coping strategies, and improving communication and boundary-setting in relationships. I emphasize validation and collaboration throughout the process, creating a space where clients feel both understood and gently challenged to grow. My approach integrates practical skill-building with deeper reflection, helping clients develop resilience, stability, and a stronger sense of self.
Existential
Existential therapy invites clients to explore questions of meaning, purpose, freedom, and responsibility in the face of life’s uncertainties. Influenced by the work of Viktor Frankl, this approach recognizes that even in suffering, individuals have the capacity to choose their attitude and create meaning. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, existential therapy encourages a deeper exploration of values, identity, and what it means to live authentically. In my work, I use existential principles to help clients reflect on life transitions, grief, anxiety, questions of purpose, and feelings of emptiness or disconnection. Together, we explore themes such as freedom, responsibility, mortality, and meaning, while grounding insights in the client’s lived experience. My approach is reflective, collaborative, and compassionate, creating space for honest dialogue and self-discovery. Through this process, clients often develop greater clarity, resilience, and alignment with their core values, enabling them to move forward with intention and authenticity.
Polyvagal Therapy
Polyvagal-informed therapy draws on an understanding of how the nervous system shapes our emotional experiences, relationships, and sense of safety. Based on the work of Stephen Porges, Polyvagal Theory explains how our autonomic nervous system responds to cues of safety and threat, influencing whether we feel connected, mobilized (anxious or fight-or-flight), or shut down. This framework helps normalize many symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and chronic stress as adaptive physiological responses rather than personal failings. In my practice, I integrate Polyvagal principles to help clients build awareness of their nervous system states and develop practical tools for regulation. Together, we identify triggers, explore patterns of activation or shutdown, and cultivate strategies that support a greater sense of safety and connection. This may include breathwork, grounding techniques, mindful movement, and relational attunement within the therapeutic space. My approach is gentle, body-informed, and collaborative, empowering clients to better understand their internal responses and strengthen their capacity for resilience, regulation, and secure connection.
