Hi! I'm Briana Williams. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family, and Child Counseling, and my work is grounded in a deep commitment to supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. My passion lies in helping people heal, grow, and build deeper self-awareness. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and supported in reaching their personal and relational goals. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship issues, life transitions, or past trauma, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and insight.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session together will begin with brief introductions, highlighting life experiences that have shaped whom you are, and exploring the challenges you are facing. This will help to create a starting point as we continue through the journey together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My style is collaborative and tailored to each individual as we all have different needs and approaches. Above all, I want my clients to feel valued, heard, seen, and safe to explore.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I love working with children, adolescents, and adults whom are ready to achieve wellness and learn the tools for inner peace to connect to their most present self. I see your bravery and strength, even if it may be underneath the scared, confused, sad, or worried thoughts that consume you!
EMDR
I use EMDR therapy for most, if not all treatment. EMDR is traditionally used for trauma; however, I have effectively used it for treating depression, anxiety, people pleasing tendencies, etc.
Daialectical Behavior (DBT)
Part of therapy is integrating skills and I use DBT to do just that! DBT teaches mindfulness, emotion regulation, interpersonal effectiveness skills, and distress tolerance skills. I believe we cannot get through the tunnels of emotional without using skills to help heal and grow.
Trauma-Focused CBT
TF-CBT is trauma informed care for children and adolescents. When working with children and adolescents, I use this modality to facilitate skills in coping with upsetting/confusing events and provide a space for them to narrate their trauma in their own way.
