New to Grow
Hello, I'm Dr. Ciara Merriweather, a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly 30 years of healthcare experience. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and substance use challenges. My approach is collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I believe treatment works best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. Together, we'll develop a personalized treatment plan focused on your goals, strengths, and long-term well-being.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and discussing what brought you to treatment. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, symptoms, medical and mental health history, life experiences, and treatment goals. My goal is to understand the full picture of what you're experiencing so we can create an individualized plan that meets your needs. Many clients find the first appointment to be a relief because they finally have a dedicated space to talk openly, ask questions, and begin developing a path forward. By the end of the session, we'll discuss recommendations, treatment options, and next steps together.
My approach combines compassion, clinical expertise, and practical problem-solving. As a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly 30 years of healthcare experience, I understand how physical health, mental health, lifestyle factors, and life stressors often overlap. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable discussing difficult topics while also receiving honest feedback and evidence-based recommendations. I believe in working collaboratively with clients to develop realistic goals, build coping skills, and create lasting improvements in overall well-being. My experience across medical, psychiatric, addiction, and community settings allows me to provide comprehensive care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
I work best with adults who are struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, stress, life transitions, or substance use challenges. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, parents, students, and individuals navigating relationship difficulties, career demands, or significant life changes. I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, develop healthy coping skills, improve daily functioning, and build lasting strategies that support emotional well-being and personal growth. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout treatment.
