Hi, I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State. I believe the concept of a peaceful mind is one of the main goals in this profession.I strive to understand a troubled mind and help to bring about change within. As a mental health counselor, I am dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey towards well-being. My role involves providing a safe and confidential space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through active listening and empathy, I work collaboratively with clients to understand and address challenges, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Together, we set goals, develop coping strategies, and foster personal growth. My aim is to create a supportive therapeutic alliance that empowers my clients to navigate and overcome life's difficulties.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In your first session with me, you can anticipate an introduction to the therapeutic process. I discuss the therapeutic relationship, and I gather relevant background information. Collaboratively, we will set goals for therapy and address any immediate concerns. Establishing trust and understanding your expectations are key components of this initial session, creating a foundation for the therapeutic journey ahead.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a mental health therapist likely include empathy, active listening, and creating a safe, non-judgmental space. I excel at establishing rapport and building trust with clients. My ability to tailor interventions based on individual needs, employ evidence-based approaches, and adapt to diverse situations contributes to my effectiveness as a therapist. Regular self-reflection and a commitment to ongoing professional development are my additional strengths.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

One of my approach methods I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy that is a goal-oriented therapeutic approach. I Start by establishing a collaborative relationship with my clients, and identify problematic thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Then I work together with my clients to challenge and reframe negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and implement behavioral changes. I Regularly assess progress and adjust interventions as needed to promote lasting change.

Strength-Based

When I use Strength-based therapy, I focus on my clients inherent strengths and resources. I Begin by exploring my client's positive qualities, skills, and resilience. I Encourage them to identify and build on their strengths to overcome challenges. Collaboratively set goals that leverage these strengths, fostering a sense of empowerment. I Regularly acknowledge progress and successes, creating a positive and affirming therapeutic environment. This enhances self-esteem and promotes a more optimistic outlook.
