I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Minnesota since 2018 and in the state of Michigan since 2022. I currently reside in Michigan. I am also an ordained minister with the Assembly of God fellowship. I work predominately with young adults, teenagers, other pastors, and military veterans. I am willing to work with any disorders that may come to me since I have been in private practice since 2014 when I graduated with my masters in marriage and family therapy from Argosy University-Twin Cities in Egan MN.
Our first session is always information gathering for me. I usually have a few questions for my clients about what is bringing them in for the session. After that, my goal is to gather some background information about the specific client and to create a treatment plan with goals to focus on during therapy. Those goals will be re-evaluated every year, so I can know how to best work with my clients.
My graduate school internship was at an alternative high school and adult education center in South St. Paul MN. I have many years of experience working with teens and young adults in difficult situations. I have been a pastor with the Assembly of God fellowship since 2016, and both of my parents are pastors as well. I have been active in ministry my whole life. My husband is an army veteran, and was in Afghanistan from 2010-2011. That also just happens to be the year that we were engaged; we married in June 2011, 3 months after returning from active duty.
My ideal client is a diverse group of people. I love working with young adults, teenagers, veterans, pastors, families, couples, pre-marital, and so much more. I have never turned away a client aside from when I was already booked.
Sarah Haller offers therapy covered by Blue Cross Blue Shield - Medicaid and UCare - Medicaid in Minnesota.
My license is in Marriage and Family Therapy. No man is an island; even when seeing someone individually I am considering the family they come from.
I deeply enjoy the miracle question, "If you woke up tomorrow and the issues you have today were gone, what would you be doing differently?" Finding solutions in the midst of hardships is one of my biggest goals.
I am a practicing Christian and have been since childhood. I am highly involved with my church, and I am an ordained pastor with the Assemblies of God fellowship. I deeply enjoy finding common ground between therapy and Christianity.
Being able to create a new storyline about the difficulties that have happened in life has always been a goal of mine.
