About me

Hello! My name is Samantha and I specialize in crisis intervention. I have worked extensively in crisis settings and community based work. I graduated from the University of Florida for undergrad and the University of South Florida for my masters in counseling. I thoroughly enjoy working with all individuals and look forward to helping you learn and grow into the best version of yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In a first session, I like to get to know YOU! I want to know who you are as a person and get ourselves acquainted with each other. We will work on setting some goals to work towards in therapy.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are that I have extensive experience with serious mental illness, so I believe nothing scares me. My empathy, authenticity, and commitment to helping clients create real change drives what I do. I’m collaborative and straightforward—I believe in meeting clients where they are while gently challenging them to grow. I’m especially skilled at helping people see their strengths, shift their perspective, and build tools they can use in everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are those who are ready to take an active role in their healing process. I work best with individuals who are open to self-reflection, willing to try new strategies, and motivated to make meaningful changes in their lives. Therapy is a collaborative process, and I believe the best outcomes happen when we work together and put the tools we discuss into practice between sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a therapist, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach emphasizes practical strategies that empower individuals to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge them with evidence-based techniques, and develop more balanced perspectives. Through structured sessions and collaborative goal-setting, I support clients in building skills for lasting emotional and behavioral change. I use CBT to address a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress management, and self-esteem. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can gain insight, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward personal growth and well-being. I also have extensive experience in crisis management. In crisis counseling, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients regain stability, identify unhelpful thoughts, and develop immediate coping strategies. My focus is on reducing acute distress through grounding, brief cognitive reframing, and practical problem-solving. By helping clients find safety, clarity, and a sense of control, I support them in taking the first steps toward recovery and resilience.
