Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Philadelphia PA, also licensed in NJ. I received my Masters Degree from Fordham University in NYC and have 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I help adults of all ages who are struggling in relationships, work, and everyday living. I strive to create a safe and supportive space to allow people to discover meaning in their experiences and to navigate life's challenges.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first few sessions together we will discuss the specific issues that are bringing you to therapy at this point in your life. I will also ask you questions about your life and other challenges you have faced as well as other experiences you may have had in therapy. We will discuss your expectations and allow time for any questions you have about how this process works. This will help me to get to know you better and to give you an idea of how I work and what to expect.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with an incredibly diverse group of clients over the past 10 years with a wide variety of issues and circumstances has been humbling and has enabled me to hold a curious and non-judgemental space to explore anything and everything that is getting the the way of you living a fuller life.

My treatment methods

Psychodynamic

I am currently in advanced training for psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia and having been using it since I began working in the field, ten years ago. It has helped clients gain insight and build context to their lives and experiences. We will use psychodynamic therapy to understand and change old patterns, improve relationships, both personal and professional, and to ultimately live life more fully.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have training and experience in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) as well as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and have been using mindfulness in my practice for the past 4 years. Mindfulness in therapy helps to develop an ability to observe the thinking and feeling that goes on throughout your day, it creates some space between you and your thoughts and feelings. Creating this space is not only a huge relief in itself, but it also opens up the opportunity to be curious about yourself and to better understand and manage challenges and stress in your life.
