New to Grow
Reaching out for therapy can feel overwhelming, especially if you've been carrying everything on your own for a long time. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, stress, and life transitions. My approach is practical, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. I believe therapy shouldn't just help you feel better during sessions—it should give you the insight and tools to navigate life with greater confidence between sessions. Together, we'll explore what's keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and work toward lasting, meaningful growth.
During our first session, we'll spend time getting to know one another and talking about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask questions about your current concerns, your history, and what you hope to gain from counseling. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. By the end of the session, we'll begin identifying goals and discuss a plan that feels realistic and personalized to your needs.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I make therapy feel both supportive and practical. I believe understanding why we think, feel, and respond the way we do can reduce shame and create meaningful change. Rather than simply talking about problems, I help clients develop practical strategies they can apply in everyday life. My approach combines evidence-based therapy with education about the brain, nervous system, and behavior so clients leave sessions with greater understanding, increased confidence, and tools they can actually use. I strive to balance compassion with gentle accountability, helping clients make progress while feeling supported every step of the way.
I work best with adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted from trying to manage life's challenges on their own. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, ADHD, depression, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, or major life transitions. They often feel like they've spent years "just getting by" and are ready to better themselves, build practical coping skills, and create lasting change. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I strive to create a supportive, judgement-free space where clients feel heard while also leaving each session with greater insight and tools they can use in everyday life. Whether you're navigating a difficult season or working toward long-term growth, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you.
Other specialties
I identify as
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients stop getting stuck in difficult thoughts and emotions so they can focus on what matters most to them. Together, we work on accepting what can't be controlled, making room for difficult experiences, and taking meaningful steps toward the life they want to build.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking, and build practical skills that can be used in everyday life.
Integrative
Every person is different, so I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I tailor therapy to each client's needs by combining techniques from several evidence-based approaches, creating a plan that fits their goals, experiences, and strengths.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe therapy works best when clients feel safe, heard, and understood. I strive to create a supportive, judgement-free space where we work together to explore challenges, build on your strengths, and move toward your goals at your own pace.
Trauma Informed Care
I understand that past experiences can shape how we think, feel, and respond to stress. I approach therapy with compassion, helping clients build a sense of safety, understand their reactions, and develop skills to move forward without judgement or shame.
