About me

I'm a bit of a ball of chaos—in the best way. I laugh loudly, I'm human first, and I believe therapy doesn't have to feel cold or overly clinical. My office is a place where you can show up exactly as you are, messy parts included. The best part of this job isn't giving advice or having all the answers. It's getting to sit beside someone as they do the hard work of healing. Nothing compares to the moment when a client looks back and says, "Remember when I couldn't even imagine getting through that?" and realizes how far they've come. Being invited into that journey is something I never take for granted.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can be nerve-wracking, and that's okay. I don't expect you to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. We'll go at a pace that feels right for you, and I'll explain what we're doing and why as we go. Every first session looks a little different because every person is different. We'll talk about what's been going on, the experiences that have shaped you, and what you're hoping might be different in your life. If you're ready to jump in, we can. If you need time to get comfortable first, that's okay too. My goal isn't for you to leave after one session with all the answers. I want you to leave feeling like you've found someone who gets you and that you don't have to figure everything out on your own anymore.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach different is that I don't believe therapy should feel like a formula. Every person who walks through my door has their own story, their own experiences, and their own reasons for being where they are. I take a flexible approach because what works for one person may not work for another. I believe one of the most powerful parts of therapy is having someone help you notice the patterns you've been living with—especially the ones that once helped you survive but may no longer be helping you thrive. Together, we can explore those patterns with curiosity, compassion, and honesty. I strive to be genuine and relatable because I believe the relationship we build is a big part of the healing process. Therapy doesn't have to be intimidating or feel like you're being analyzed under a microscope. My goal is to create a space where you can show up as yourself, laugh when you need to, be honest about the hard things, and feel supported as you grow.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who has spent a lot of time feeling like they are "too much," "not enough," or just not quite understood. Maybe you've been the person who takes care of everyone else, keeps the peace, or adapts yourself to make others comfortable while quietly wondering, "When do I get to just be me?" I especially enjoy working with LGBTQ+ individuals, misunderstood teens, trauma survivors, and women who are ready to break free from the exhausting cycle of people-pleasing. Many of my clients are incredibly strong people who have learned how to survive—but are now ready to learn how to truly live. You don't have to show up to therapy with a perfectly organized list of problems (because let's be honest, life rarely comes that organized). You can show up exactly as you are: messy, confused, overwhelmed, curious, or somewhere in between. My ideal client is someone who is willing to be honest, explore their story, and maybe even laugh a little along the way. Therapy is serious work, but I believe healing can happen in a space that feels human, comfortable, and real.

My treatment methods

EMDR

You are not broken. The things you learned to do to survive often made sense at the time. EMDR therapy can help you understand those patterns and decide which ones still serve you—and which ones you’re ready to let go of.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person-centered therapy is one of the approaches I use because I believe connection matters in healing. This allows us to have space for you to figure you out, while having a connection that can be supportive, give feedback, understand your goals. I’m not going to pretend I have all the answers or that I’m somehow separate from the human experience. I’m going to meet you where you are, get curious with you, and build a genuine therapeutic relationship where you can feel seen, heard, and understood.
