Hola! Welcome to my profile! My name is Lisette Gutierrez and I am a bilingual (Spanish and English) Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California. With over 14 years of experience in school-based and community mental health settings, I’ve supported children, adolescents, young adults, and adults in navigating anxiety, depression, past hardships, and life transitions. I believe each person brings resilience, insight, and the capacity for growth—even during life’s most challenging seasons. My role is to partner with you in building on your strengths, deepening self-understanding, and developing tools that help you move forward with confidence. I foster an open, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where your voice matters and your experiences are honored. Together, we’ll focus not just on what’s difficult, but on what’s possible.
During our first session, I will provide a safe space to begin to build rapport by first easing into a friendly introduction, then gather information to understand what brought you to therapy, identify your current coping skills and strengths. This information will be useful in identifying and developing your goals in therapy.
Whether the focus is on strengthening coping skills, building healthier relationships, increasing confidence, or moving forward from past challenges, I provide a space where growth is encouraged and each person feels heard, empowered, and supported in reaching their goals.
I find great fulfillment in working with Spanish- and English-speaking individuals who are seeking to break cycles of generational trauma and navigate anxiety, depression, and life’s many transitions. I understand the importance of culture, family dynamics, identity, and lived experience in shaping mental health, and I approach this work with cultural humility and respect. Whether you are processing past wounds, managing present-day stressors, or navigating a new chapter in life, I strive to support you in reconnecting with your strengths and moving toward a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and fulfilling.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used evidence-based approach that helps individuals understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns and beliefs that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, stress, or other emotional challenges.
