I obtained my Master's degree in 2020, after working 20 years on the front lines of social services. I am a mother and grandmother. Family is my personal center. I have learned along the way respecting and accepting others brings peace for me and them! I specialize in helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, relationship dynamics, and family conflicts. My approach centers on understanding each person's unique journey, with a particular focus on addressing communication challenges, social anxiety, isolation, and issues related to life purpose and personal growth.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, I will focus on building rapport and gathering information that will assist with your treatment by giving me a picture of who you were, are, and want to be.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I am a person-centered, strengths based therapist. I focus on your strengths and abilities (even when you cannot see them) to build and address the concerns that brought you to therapy. I listen. I do not tell you what is wrong or what you should do. I match the therapeutic approach to you to create a more effective therapy experience.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am positioned best to serve a client who is willing to work alongside me to address the concerns that brought them to therapy. I feel comfortable working with all ages and circumstances. I am able to help clients who are not sure of their goals to explore and identify and clients who are direct on the goals and what they want to get from therapy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I truly enjoy CBT for logical thinkers. It makes sense and they are able to apply it more effectively. This approach works well for younger clients as well.

Attachment-based

I integrate attachment techniques in my sessions when appropriate. As a marriage and family therapist, I understand how important healthy attachment styles are to happiness in life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I Have found DBT effective for adolescents and young adults. However, the skills are helpful for all who may need to learn emotion management, mindfulness, and relationship building.

Couples Counseling

I provide couples counseling for couples, premarital and marital counseling. I have also worked with separating couples to help keep things healthy and calm during that time.

Child Parent Psychotherapy

I am a certified CPP therapist. However, this is not something I will provide virtually do the the age of the child/children. However, I will bring in some of the techniques when working with adults who identify inner child concerns or parenting concerns.
