I am a board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, who treats individuals using patient centered care. I believe each person is the expert of their own experience. I have worked in a variety of settings and have experience treating a wide range of diagnosis from anxiety disorders to psychotic disorders. As a specialist I have completed hours of continuous education in personality disorders and eating disorders in order to better serve this population.
The first session is 60-75 minutes. During this time I will complete a full psychiatric assessment, gathering information on your current and past psychiatric symptoms, as well as medical, social, and developments history. Afterwards we will work together to create a treatment plan. This could mean therapy, medication, or both.
Having lived experience with mental illness, I went into tgd profession wanting to give my patients the care the care that took me so long to find. I never want anyone to feel rushed or misunderstood when seeing me. I want my patients to feel free to ask questions and get the answers they need.
