Jamie Blossom
I am passionate about partnering with individuals who are seeking a therapeutic environment in which they can grow and heal. I received a Master of Social Work from the University of Toledo, specializing in mental health. My background includes mental health counseling, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention and substance use treatment with adults, families and children. I have experience working in a variety of clinical settings and with a wide range of people. I utilize evidenced based treatment approaches tailored to meet each client's unique needs and goals. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health care combined with research-based interventions. As a team, we will develop a comprehensive plan to help you reach your goals.
First session
During our initial session, we will spend time getting to know one another, discussing what brings you to therapy and exploring your goals for treatment. I will gain an understanding about your current concerns and life experiences. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions. You can begin to share your story at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Strengths
Therapy should be a place where you feel safe, comfortable and understood. It can be helpful to gain insight and support, becoming empowered to make changes necessary to live a more authentic life- a life that aligns with our needs and values. Diverse personal and professional experiences have provided me with a broad clinical perspective, and a deep understanding of the challenges individuals face at different stages of life. I believe in genuine connection and presence without judgment. My practice is trauma-informed and grounded in the belief that every person has the potential for growth, healing and meaningful change.
