About

Hi, I'm Victoria, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly a decade of experience helping adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples navigate life's challenges. Throughout my career, I've worked in emergency mental health, pediatric integrated behavioral health, higher education, and community mental health, supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, and emotional overwhelm. I believe therapy should be a collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop practical coping strategies, strengthen your relationships, and build a life that aligns with your values. I strive to create an environment where you can show up authentically and work toward meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're experiencing a difficult season or simply want to invest in your personal growth, I'm honored to walk alongside you in your journey toward health.

First session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your personal history, current concerns, strengths, and what you hope to achieve through counseling. You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My role is to meet you where you are, ask thoughtful questions, and help you begin making sense of your experiences. Together, we'll identify goals and create a treatment plan that feels personalized and realistic. My hope is that you'll leave our first session feeling heard, supported, and hopeful about the work we'll do together.

Strengths

I combine evidence-based clinical expertise with a warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth approach. My experience spans crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, integrated behavioral health, and relationship-focused therapy, allowing me to support clients with both immediate challenges and long-term growth. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, and strengths-based interventions to tailor treatment to each client's unique needs. Clients often tell me they appreciate my ability to balance compassion with honest, thoughtful feedback. I believe therapy should be a place to gain insight, build practical skills, and create meaningful change. I strive to help clients leave each session with greater clarity, confidence, and tools they can use in everyday life.

Ideal clients

My ideal client is someone who is ready to invest in themselves, even if they're unsure where to start. I enjoy working with young adults and couples who are navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, life transitions, stress, or difficulties with self-esteem and emotional regulation. Many of my clients are high-achieving individuals who appear to have everything together on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck internally. Together, we'll work to better understand patterns that may be keeping you from living the life you want, build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful, lasting change. You don't have to have all the answers before starting therapy you simply need a willingness to show up, be curious, and take the next step toward growth.

Treatment methods

Attachment-based

I believe many of the ways we think, feel, and relate to others are shaped by our earliest relationships and life experiences. Using an attachment-based approach, we'll explore how those experiences may continue to influence your relationships, self-worth, emotional responses, and ability to trust yourself and others today. Together, we'll identify patterns that no longer serve you and work toward developing healthier, more secure ways of connecting with yourself and the people who matter most.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us understand the connection between our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Sometimes we develop unhelpful thinking patterns that can increase anxiety, depression, stress, or self-doubt without even realizing it. Together, we'll identify these patterns, challenge beliefs that no longer serve you, and replace them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. CBT is practical and goal-oriented, giving you tools and strategies you can use in everyday life to feel more confident, manage difficult emotions, and respond to challenges in healthier ways.

Couples Counseling

I view couples therapy as a collaborative process where both partners feel heard, respected, and understood. Rather than focusing on who's right or wrong, we'll work together to identify the patterns that keep you feeling stuck and create healthier ways of communicating, managing conflict, and supporting one another. I use evidence-based approaches informed by attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples strengthen emotional connection, rebuild trust, improve communication, and navigate life's challenges as a team. Whether you're experiencing ongoing conflict, adjusting to a life transition, rebuilding after a breach of trust, or simply wanting to strengthen your relationship, my goal is to provide a supportive space where meaningful change can happen.

Trauma Informed Care

I recognize that trauma can shape how we view ourselves, relate to others, and respond to stress long after the traumatic experience has passed. Using a trauma-informed approach, I prioritize creating a safe, supportive, and collaborative environment where you feel respected, heard, and in control of your healing journey. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you, building coping skills, increasing emotional regulation, and exploring difficult experiences only when you feel ready. My goal is not to have you relive your trauma, but to help you understand its impact, strengthen your resilience, and move toward healing with greater confidence and self-compassion.

Psychodynamic

Sometimes we find ourselves repeating the same patterns without understanding why. Psychodynamic therapy helps us explore the deeper experiences and relationships that have shaped how we think, feel, and connect with others. Rather than focusing only on current symptoms, we'll work together to uncover the underlying factors contributing to your struggles. My goal is to help you develop greater self-awareness, understand yourself with compassion, and create meaningful, lasting change.
