Ayee Bleemie
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C), I believe that mental health is the foundation of overall wellness. Taking the first step toward treatment can be challenging, and I'm honored to be part of your journey. With over 15 years of healthcare experience, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, insomnia, and other mental health concerns. I work collaboratively with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan that promotes healing, resilience, and long-term wellness.
First session
Your first appointment is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a relaxed, judgment-free environment. We'll discuss what brought you to treatment, your current symptoms, medical and mental health history, lifestyle, and your goals for care. Together, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that may include medication management, supportive therapy, coping strategies, and referrals when appropriate. My priority is ensuring you feel heard, respected, and empowered to take an active role in your mental health journey.
Strengths
I believe the best outcomes come from building genuine, trusting relationships with my clients. My dual certification as both a psychiatric and family nurse practitioner allows me to understand the connection between physical and mental health, providing truly holistic care. I combine evidence-based medication management with supportive, solution-focused therapy to help clients develop practical tools for lasting change. My approach is warm, collaborative, and honest. I listen without judgment while also gently challenging unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors when appropriate. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe discussing difficult experiences while being encouraged to grow at a pace that feels right for them. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma, or major life transitions, my goal is to help you gain clarity, build resilience, and achieve meaningful, lasting improvements in your quality of life.
Ideal clients
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who are ready to improve their mental health and overall quality of life. My ideal clients may be experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, stress, or life transitions. Many feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck and are looking for practical solutions and compassionate support. Whether you're seeking medication management, therapy, or both, I provide personalized, evidence-based care in a collaborative, judgment-free environment. Together, we'll develop realistic goals, build healthy coping skills, and work toward lasting emotional wellness and resilience.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients recognize how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and practice practical coping skills that can reduce anxiety, depression, stress, and other emotional challenges.
Supportive
Supportive therapy provides a safe, judgment-free space where you can openly discuss your thoughts, feelings, and life experiences. I offer encouragement, guidance, and practical strategies to help you build resilience, manage stress, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence.
Solution-Focused Brief Treatment
This approach focuses on your strengths and the positive changes you want to make. Rather than dwelling on problems, we work together to identify realistic goals, build on what is already working, and develop practical steps that move you toward the life you want.
Motivational Interviewing
When you're feeling uncertain about making changes, I use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore your goals, values, and motivations. Together, we'll identify barriers, strengthen your confidence, and create a plan that feels realistic and achievable.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I believe every client deserves to feel heard, respected, and understood. Using a person-centered approach, I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where we work together as partners to help you achieve your mental health and wellness goals.
