New to Grow
My name is Amanda, and I’m a licensed therapist who is passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I believe therapy is a powerful space for growth, healing, and self-discovery. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a comfortable, supportive relationship. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from the process. I may ask questions about your background, experiences, and goals so I can better understand how to support you. This session is also a chance for you to ask any questions you may have about therapy and determine if we feel like a good fit to work together.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
One of my greatest strengths is creating a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore difficult thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. My goal is to truly understand each client’s unique story, helping them feel seen, heard, and supported as we work together toward meaningful change.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I enjoy working with individuals who are seeking support as they navigate life challenges, personal growth, or emotional difficulties. Many of the clients I work with experience anxiety, stress, life transitions, or relationship difficulties and are looking for support in finding healthier ways to cope and grow. My ideal clients are those who are open to self-reflection and willing to explore new perspectives and coping strategies as they work toward personal growth and balance.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been a practical and structured way to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I have found that CBT techniques such as identifying cognitive distortions, challenging negative thoughts, and developing coping strategies has empowered clients to make meaningful changes.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy has provided a framework for me to help clients manage intense emotions and improve relationships. The DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation helps to give practical tools to apply to real life situations.
EMDR
EMDR has been a powerful approach to helping clients process memories and reduce emotional distress. Through the use of bilateral stimulation combined with grounding techniques EMDR helps clients access and work through negative beliefs.
