Yosheika's diverse work experience has expanded over a decade, primarily focusing on mental health and wellbeing. Her approach is holistic, strength and person-centered. The work together will be a collaboration to ensure that you reach your goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I will ask if Client has any questions before we start to provide address any sources of anxiety. Then I will explain the results of the intake assessment. After the formal part of the process then I will ask some "get to know you" questions (e.g., where are you from, how many siblings do you have, what do you like to do for fun, have you been in therapy before, etc) to learn more about you as a person and what your goals/hopes are for treatment.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is providing a safe space to explore past traumas. The majority of my professional experience has been educating the community about the impact of trauma especially during childhood, while supporting clients with trauma through their healing journey. I also can be solution-focused when clients feel overwhelmed by multiple stressors. Through the strong therapeutic alliance established, I can assist clients in identifying unhealthy patterns of behaviors/thoughts that no longer serve them and encourage them to replace them with healthier skills.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

The Client populations that I focus on are BIPOC, 2SLGBTQ, overwork professional, parents, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorder.
