My name is Carrie, and I am very passionate about helping people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, phase of life problems, women's issues, or grief. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the great state of Texas. I have many years of experience and extensive knowledge in the mental health arena, along with my education. This allows me to connect and build rapport quickly with patients, and begin the healing process. Therapy is a collaborative partnership where we work together to determine your goals. In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.
The main treatment modality that I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I also use Solution Focussed Counseling, and Mindfulness Techniques.
I am very easy to talk to and a great listener. I enjoy at helping people work through trauma, so they can move forward in their lives and no longer feel stuck. I am also good at helping people with chronic mental illness stay on track.
