New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner with experience working across outpatient, community mental health, crisis, and military settings. As a Veteran, I understand many of the unique stressors associated with military life, transitions, caregiving responsibilities, and balancing the demands of work and family. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, relationship concerns, life transitions, and challenges related to stress and burnout. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices tailored to each individual's needs. I strive to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, build resilience, develop practical coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels manageable and aligned with their goals.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll discuss your current concerns, relevant history, strengths, goals for treatment, and any questions you may have about the therapy process. Together, we'll identify priorities and develop a plan that feels realistic and tailored to your unique needs. There is no expectation that you share everything at once; therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and productive for you.
Clients often describe me as warm, direct, and easy to talk to. I strive to balance compassion with honesty, creating a space where clients feel both supported and appropriately challenged. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches to tailor treatment to each individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all model. My background working with diverse populations, including military families, individuals navigating trauma, and those facing significant life transitions, allows me to approach each client with flexibility, curiosity, and respect for their unique experiences and strengths.
I work best with adolescents and adults who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the emotional demands of caregiving. Many of my clients are high-functioning individuals who appear to manage well externally while struggling internally with overwhelm, perfectionism, burnout, or self-doubt. I provide a warm, collaborative approach that balances practical coping strategies with deeper insight and lasting change. Together, we identify meaningful goals, build on existing strengths, and create sustainable ways of moving toward the life clients want to live.

Exposure Response Prevention (ERP)
I use ERP to help clients gradually face feared situations, thoughts, or sensations while reducing compulsive behaviors and avoidance patterns. Treatment is collaborative and paced to support lasting change while building confidence in managing anxiety and uncertainty.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I integrate DBT-informed interventions to help clients strengthen emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. The goal is to improve coping while creating a life that aligns with clients' values and goals.
