New to Grow
My name is David, and I am an independently licensed therapist with 4 years of experience helping my clients navigate anxiety, stress, life transitions, depression, grief, and feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges. I understand that reaching out for therapy can be a difficult first step. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, explore what you are experiencing, and work toward meaningful change. Many of the individuals I work with are looking to better understand themselves, strengthen their coping skills, improve their relationships, and develop a clearer sense of direction. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I work alongside each client to identify their strengths while building practical tools that can be applied in everyday life. My approach is person-centered and draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and humanistic principles. Together, we will focus on creating realistic and lasting changes at a pace that feels comfortable and aligned with your goals.
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and creating a comfortable, supportive space where you can share what brings you to therapy. We will talk about your current concerns, your background, and what you hope to work toward, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You are welcome to share as much or as little as you feel ready to discuss. This session is also a chance for you to ask questions, learn more about my approach, and see if we feel like a good fit working together. Together, we will begin identifying your goals and exploring what support may look like moving forward. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of direction for your next steps.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my calm and grounded presence. I strive to create a sense of safety and comfort, especially when clients are navigating difficult emotions, stressful situations, or overwhelming life experiences. I take a collaborative approach, working alongside clients rather than directing them. I believe therapy is most effective when clients feel heard, respected, and supported while exploring their thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences. Through active listening and validation, I help clients slow down, gain clarity, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves. I also believe growth often comes from gently exploring patterns that may no longer be serving us. When appropriate, I help clients identify unhelpful thought patterns and consider new perspectives in a way that feels supportive rather than confrontational. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and a humanistic approach to support both emotional processing and practical change. My goal is to help clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want to create.
I work best with individuals who are navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions, and who are looking for both support and practical tools to move forward. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in unhelpful patterns and want to better understand themselves while developing healthier ways of coping. I also work well with men who may be experiencing stress, emotional challenges, or difficulty expressing their thoughts and feelings, and who are looking for a space where they can feel comfortable opening up without judgment. I connect best with individuals who are open to self-reflection and ready to make meaningful changes. Whether you are looking to better manage anxiety, improve emotional awareness, or gain clarity during a transition, I aim to provide a supportive and collaborative space to help you move forward.

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify patterns that may be contributing to stress, anxiety, or feeling stuck, and work toward developing more balanced and helpful perspectives. I also focus on building practical coping skills that clients can apply in their everyday lives. My goal is to help clients gain greater awareness of their thoughts, improve emotional regulation, and develop tools they can use to navigate challenges with more confidence.
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths, recognize what is already working, and create practical goals for the future. Together, we focus on building solutions by exploring existing skills, resources, and moments of success that can be expanded upon. This approach helps clients develop clear, achievable steps toward meaningful change while recognizing their ability to overcome challenges. My goal is to support clients in gaining confidence, building on their strengths, and creating realistic progress in their daily lives.
I use a humanistic approach to create a genuine, supportive therapeutic relationship where clients feel accepted, understood, and comfortable being themselves. I believe people have the ability to grow and create meaningful change when they feel valued and supported. Together, we explore your experiences, emotions, and personal goals while building greater self-awareness, confidence, and a clearer sense of direction. My goal is to provide a space where you feel respected and empowered throughout your journey.
