My name is David, and I am an independently licensed therapist with 3 years of experience working with adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, depression, and grief. I also support individuals who feel overwhelmed or stuck and are looking for a clearer sense of direction in their lives. I strive to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable showing up as they are. Many of the individuals I work with experience increased self-awareness, improved coping skills, and a stronger ability to manage life’s challenges over time. My approach is collaborative and person centered, and I work alongside clients to help them better understand their thoughts and emotions while also building practical tools they can use in daily life. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and a humanistic approach to support meaningful and realistic change at a pace that feels right for each person.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will focus on getting to know each other and building a comfortable space where you can share what brings you to therapy. I will ask a few questions about your current concerns, background, and what you hope to gain from therapy, but there is no pressure to discuss anything you are not ready to share. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of how I work as a therapist. Together, we will begin to identify your goals and discuss what support might look like moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my calm and grounded presence, which helps create a sense of safety and ease even during high-stress or emotionally difficult conversations. I take a collaborative approach, working alongside clients rather than directing them, and I work intentionally to provide a space where clients feel supported rather than overwhelmed, which can make it easier to explore challenging thoughts and feelings. I place a strong emphasis on active listening and validation, ensuring clients feel heard, understood, and respected in their experiences. Many clients find that having a steady and nonjudgmental space allows them to slow down, gain clarity, and better understand what they are going through. At the same time, I am able to gently challenge unhelpful thought patterns when appropriate. My approach to challenging is soft and collaborative rather than confrontational, helping clients reflect on their thoughts in a way that feels safe and manageable. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and a humanistic approach to support both emotional processing and practical change. This allows me to help clients not only feel supported in the moment, but also build insight, coping skills, and realistic steps forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, and life transitions, and who are looking for both support and practical tools to move forward. Many of my clients feel overwhelmed, stuck, or caught in unhelpful patterns and want to better understand themselves while developing healthier ways of coping. I also work well with men who may be experiencing stress, emotional challenges, or difficulty expressing their thoughts and feelings, and who are looking for a space where they can feel comfortable opening up without judgment. I connect best with individuals who are open to self-reflection and ready to make meaningful changes. Whether you are looking to better manage anxiety, improve emotional awareness, or gain clarity during a transition, I aim to provide a supportive and collaborative space to help you move forward.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

With Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients recognize how their thoughts influence their feelings and behaviors. We work together to challenge unhelpful thinking patterns and shift them toward more balanced, realistic perspectives. I also focus on building practical coping skills that you can use in your daily life to better manage stress, anxiety, and everyday challenges.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify their strengths and focus on practical, achievable goals. Rather than focusing heavily on past problems, we work together to explore what is already working and build on those strengths. This approach supports clients in creating meaningful change in a relatively short amount of time by developing clear, actionable steps forward.

Humanistic

I use a humanistic approach to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can openly share, feel heard, and be understood. I believe people have the capacity for growth and meaningful change when they feel supported and accepted. Together, we explore your experiences and goals while building self-awareness, confidence, and a stronger sense of direction.
