New to Grow
What drew me to this path was being able to help people see that they carry the strength and resilience for resolutions on their own. Much of what people may need is some guidance and support through their healing journeys. I specialize in working with individuals navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I take a client-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, tailoring each session to your unique needs and goals. Together, we'll identify challenges and work on strategies to help you move forward with confidence.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
Our first session will be an opportunity for us to get to know one another and build foundational rapport. We'll discuss your background and what brings you to therapy, along with what you would like to accomplish. It will feel just like a conversation.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I practice active listening to ensure you are heard, empathetic communication to provide a supportive tone to your experience, and take a nonjudgmental stance to ensure you feel safe to speak freely. Open communication creates a space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
Whether you're working through trauma, building coping skills, or exploring personal goals, I'll work with you to create a growth plan that feels empowering and achievable. I support clients processing life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients increase awareness of automatic thoughts, cognitive distortions, and core beliefs that influence their emotional responses and behaviors. I implement CBT in a collaborative and goal-oriented manner. Treatment plans are individualized based on the client’s presenting concerns, and measurable goals are established to track progress.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I utilize person centered approach with almost all of my clients due to the belief that individuals possess an innate capacity for growth, self-understanding, and self-direction. This approach emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as the primary vehicle for change. In my practice, Person-Centered Therapy is implemented by creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is great in the collaborative, client-centered counseling approach designed to strengthen an individual’s internal motivation and commitment to change. MI is particularly effective when clients are experiencing ambivalence about behavioral change. In practice, I use MI to help clients explore and resolve mixed feelings about change in a supportive, non-confrontational manner.
