(she/they)
New to Grow
I help people face the inevitable losses and challenges of life with presence, curiosity, and compassion. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and anti-oppressive. People who are feeling stuck, grieving, struggling with the weight of our socio-political crises, perfectionists, codependents, highly sensitive people: I'd love to help you slow down, connect with yourself, and cultivate more balance and presence in your life.
In our first session, we'll discuss your goals in therapy and begin to explore your background and context. We will also go over my practice policies to ensure we are on the same page.
In sessions, I hold space for clients to feel, recognize, and process their experiences while moving toward a greater sense of ease, connection, safety, and joy. I strive to honor the multiple, intersecting identities each person carries while collaboratively exploring new narratives and an evolving self.
I support people coping with depression, anxiety, burnout, caregiving, disability, chronic health issues, and life transitions, among other issues. I have strengths in working with LGBTQIA+ people on identity exploration and politicized grief. I also have specialized experience working with caregivers of people living with dementia, including more rare forms such as Primary Progressive Aphasia (PPA) and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).
Relational
I emphasize the dynamic between myself and my client first and foremost, moving "at the speed of trust" (to quote adrienne maree brown).
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I seek to show up with empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard in every session. Your goals and perspective are the guideposts of our work together.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
We can work together to identify your core values, practice mindfulness, and make concrete steps toward a more aligned, fulfilling life.
EMDR
If you've experienced acute or complex trauma, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy can be a useful tool in reducing the emotional intensity of your past memories and lessening their negative impact on the present.
Eclectic
I meet clients where they are, pulling on different methods, tools, and techniques depending on how you show up on any given day, in any given moment.
