New to Grow
I have been practicing at a fully licensed level since 2017 and have worked in the helping profession since 2011. I am passionate about supporting individuals through life’s challenges, transitions, and difficult seasons with compassion, honesty, and practical guidance. My goal is to help clients feel supported, gain insight, and develop the tools and confidence needed to move toward healing, stability, and personal growth.
During the first session, clients can expect a supportive and collaborative environment where we will discuss what brought them to counseling, current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment. My focus is on helping clients feel comfortable, heard, and understood while beginning to build trust and identify practical steps toward healing and growth. The first session also gives us an opportunity to determine what approaches and supports may be most helpful moving forward.
My greatest strengths are creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space, helping clients feel genuinely heard and understood, and balancing compassion with practical tools for change. I take a trauma-informed, collaborative approach that helps clients build insight, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and work toward lasting healing and stability. I also value meeting clients where they are while encouraging growth, resilience, and hope throughout the counseling process.
I am best positioned to help adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, substance use, and co-occurring mental health concerns. I work well with clients who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected and are looking for support, healing, and practical tools to move forward. I especially enjoy helping individuals build insight, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and collaborative, meeting clients where they are while helping them grow toward lasting healing and stability. When desired, I also incorporate faith-based principles into the counseling process.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use a trauma-informed CBT approach combined with supportive and compassionate counseling techniques. I strive to create a safe and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout the healing process. I help clients identify unhealthy thought patterns, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen emotional regulation while moving at a pace that feels safe and empowering for them. I also incorporate empathy, encouragement, and strengths-based support throughout treatment. When desired by the client, I respectfully integrate faith-based and Christian counseling principles into the therapeutic process.
