Hi, I'm Patricia Scheldrup, LCSW. Welcome to Conscious Counseling, where everyday reality and higher states of consciousness meet. Healing through holistic care: mind, body and spirit. Like the lotus flower, you too have likely survived harsh conditions, only to rise again. I will honor your resiliency, accentuate your strengths and help you build new pathways to calm. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience. I provide teletherapy services to adults throughout California and Texas. I have a broad range of experience, having worked in a variety of settings, including hospitals, foster care agencies and hospices. During my career I have helped individuals facing a multitude of challenges, from anxiety and depression to death and dying. I have also assisted people struggling with various life transitions, family/relationship issues, grief and chronic pain. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and acknowledge each individual's intricacies and unique life experiences. Diversity is honored, respected and celebrated.

During the first visit we will discuss: confidentiality, the therapeutic process, insurance benefits, your concerns/challenges and goals.
Strengths
My diverse work experience has allowed me to approach my practice and provide care from a unique vantage point. Because of this, I'm able to integrate practical approaches with alternative methods, optimizing outcomes. In addition to grief therapy, I also provide counseling for individuals who have experienced an OBE (out of body experience), NDE (near death experience) or STE (spiritual transformative experience). Often, experiencers may feel alone or fear no one will believe them. It's important to know a supportive community exists. I help people integrate their experience and find meaning/purpose.
