I began my career working in family crisis services, including child protection and foster care. I’ve also supported individuals with disabilities and provided career guidance through my work with the state. While these experiences have shaped my approach, individual and group counseling are truly where I feel most passionate and effective. I am a Christian and draw strength from my faith. For clients who would like to incorporate spirituality into our work, I am happy to do so. At the same time, I fully respect and support clients who prefer a non-spiritual approach—your comfort and goals guide the process.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The best way to get to learn about someone is to hear their story. I start sessions by asking you to tell me yours.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have experience helping clients navigate stress and anxiety, trauma and abuse, motivation, self-esteem and confidence, as well as career-related challenges. I believe you are the expert of your own story and already possess strengths that can help you overcome life’s difficulties. My role is to help you uncover those strengths, unlearn patterns that no longer serve you, and build healthier, more effective ones. Seeking change takes courage, and choosing a more fulfilling, balanced life is a powerful first step. I’m here to support and empower you along that journey.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Someone who genuinely wants support and is willing to actively engage in the process. They come ready to open up, share honestly, and take responsibility for their role in the client-therapist relationship. If a client wants space to vent, that’s absolutely welcome; however, those who prefer the therapist to do most of the talking may not be the best fit. I’m able to support clients most effectively when I have a clear understanding of their unique circumstances, which requires an open, two-way dialogue.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We will talk about what's been bothering you; discuss your thoughts, feelings and how you've reacted or responded [behavior] to whatever it is. Eventually, we can acquire new perspectives [thoughts], explore the new experience [feelings] and learn ways to respond accordingly [behaviors].
