I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I use evidence-based treatments backed by research, not trends, and I believe therapy should help you understand why you're struggling and what will actually help you heal. My style is compassionate, direct, collaborative, and focused on meaningful progress rather than endless sessions.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and determine whether we're a good fit. I'll ask about what brought you to therapy, your history, your current challenges, and what you hope life will look like when things improve. Just as importantly, you'll have the opportunity to ask me questions about my approach and what treatment may look like. I don't believe in forcing people to retell every painful experience on day one. Instead, we'll work together to understand the bigger picture, identify your goals, and begin developing a plan tailored to your needs. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of where we're headed together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I believe therapy should be both compassionate and effective. I bring a balance of empathy, honesty, and evidence-based clinical expertise to every session. I'll absolutely listen and support you, but I'll also challenge unhelpful patterns when needed because real change often requires looking at things differently. Much of my work has been with trauma survivors, veterans, caregivers, and individuals navigating significant life stress. These experiences have reinforced that healing isn't about "getting over it." It's about understanding how your experiences have shaped your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors so you can move forward with greater freedom. I also place a strong emphasis on education. Many clients tell me that simply understanding what's happening in their brain and body helps reduce shame and gives them hope. I want therapy to make sense, not feel mysterious. My goal is for you to leave sessions with insight, practical tools, and confidence that you're making measurable progress toward the life you want.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with adults recovering from trauma and the lasting effects it can have on their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily lives. I also work with individuals experiencing PTSD, anxiety, depression, caregiver stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients are veterans, first responders, healthcare professionals, caregivers, or people who have spent years taking care of everyone but themselves. They want more than symptom relief. They want to understand themselves, build practical skills grounded in research, and create lasting change through evidence-based therapy.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy is one of the most effective treatments available for PTSD and trauma-related concerns. Trauma can change the way we see ourselves, other people, and the world, often leaving us feeling stuck in beliefs that no longer serve us. Together, we'll examine those beliefs, determine whether they're accurate or helpful, and develop more balanced ways of thinking. The goal isn't to erase the past. It's to reduce the power it continues to have over your present.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors all influence one another. Sometimes patterns that once helped us cope begin creating new challenges. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we'll identify those patterns, understand why they developed, and learn practical strategies to respond differently. My goal is to help you build skills you can continue using long after therapy has ended.

Strength-Based

Healing isn't only about reducing symptoms. It's also about recognizing the strengths, values, and resilience you already possess. A strengths-based approach helps us identify what's working, build on your existing abilities, and use those strengths to overcome current challenges. Rather than focusing solely on what's wrong, we'll also focus on what will help you move forward.
