(she/her)
Being able to create an environment where you feel heard, supported and understood is an essential goal in my practice. I enjoy working on identifying personal strengths that may help transform difficulties and challenges into new possibilities and a more satisfying life. I believe that it is important to recognize and celebrate a person’s uniqueness and background by applying various counseling styles. As an interactive, creative, solution-focused therapist, my approach is based on providing support, clarity, and feedback while facilitating an active dialogue. I have worked in various settings and industries such as clinical, corporate, and educational. My 20+ years of expertise and professional interests include working with depression, anxiety, sleep issues, stress management, workplace-related issues, caregiving challenges, parenting, grief, loss and life transitions.
In the first session, clients can expect a supportive non-judgmental space where we’ll begin building a therapeutic relationship and explore what brings them to therapy. We'll discuss their goals, review relevant history, and start identifying key areas to focus on—setting the foundation for a personalized, collaborative treatment plan.
I create a welcoming and safe space where clients can feel comfortable and at ease. My genuine and compassionate approach tends to help reduce any anxiety or apprehension about therapy, making it easier to open up and share what’s on your mind. I bring warmth, a sense of humor, and a relaxed style to our work together, helping sessions feel engaging, supportive, and even enjoyable.
I work with adults, older adults, and executive professionals who are feeling stressed, going through life transitions, experiencing burnout, or struggling with anxiety or low mood. I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach, and together we’ll explore practical tools and personal insights to help you feel more balanced, grow emotionally, and navigate life with greater confidence and well-being.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the core treatment methods I use in my practice. I have extensive experience using CBT with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and stress management. What I appreciate most about CBT is its structured, goal-oriented approach that empowers clients to identify and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions while committing to values-based actions. In my practice, I use mindfulness techniques, defusion strategies, and values clarification to support clients in building meaningful, purpose-driven lives even in the presence of discomfort.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to help clients identify and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors that interfere with sleep. My approach includes sleep psycho-education, stimulus control, and cognitive restructuring to support long-term improvements in sleep quality.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I integrate Mindfulness-Based Therapy to help clients cultivate present-moment awareness and develop a nonjudgmental relationship with their thoughts and emotions. In practice, I use guided mindfulness exercises, breathing exercises, and body scans to reduce stress, enhance emotional regulation, and support overall well-being.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify their strengths and build on past successes to create practical, goal-oriented solutions. In sessions, I focus on what’s working, use scaling questions, and highlight client resilience to promote rapid and empowering change.
