New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 12 years of experience in the behavioral health field, working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of settings. My background includes providing therapy for individuals and families involved in DCS cases, supporting youth in juvenile detention, and working alongside court systems to help clients navigate complex life circumstances. Throughout my career, I have supported clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and a wide range of life stressors. I understand that each person’s story is unique, and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each individual’s needs. Whether you are facing a difficult transition, managing ongoing emotional challenges, or working through past experiences, I am here to support you in building resilience, gaining insight, and moving toward meaningful change. If you do not see time slots that work for you please reach out to me and I will try and accomodate your needs by opening up a time slot that will work for you!
In our first session, you can expect a supportive and low-pressure environment where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and any relevant background so I can better understand your experiences and goals. This is also an opportunity for you to ask questions, share what you’re hoping to get out of therapy, and get a sense of my approach and style. We may start identifying initial goals and discussing how we can work together to address your concerns, but there’s no expectation to share everything all at once—this process moves at your pace. My focus is on creating a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported as we begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. If you do not see appointment slots that will work for you plese reach out to me via email and I will try my best to open a time slot that will work for you!
What stands out about my therapeutic approach is its balance of structure, collaboration, and practicality. I primarily use evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients clearly understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I focus on providing clients with concrete tools and strategies they can apply in their daily lives, not just within sessions. My approach is goal-oriented and tailored to each individual, allowing for measurable progress while still remaining flexible to each client’s unique needs and pace. Clients often find this approach empowering, as it helps them build insight while also developing skills that lead to real, lasting change. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel both challenged and encouraged as they work toward improved well-being and resilience.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are motivated to engage in a structured, goal-oriented therapeutic process and are open to developing practical skills to improve their mental health. I work well with individuals experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, and life transitions, particularly those who feel stuck in negative thought patterns or unhelpful behavioral cycles. Many of the clients I support are seeking greater self-awareness and want to better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. They are often looking for tangible strategies to manage symptoms, build coping skills, and create meaningful change in their daily lives. I am especially effective with clients who appreciate a collaborative approach, are willing to practice skills outside of sessions, and value measurable progress toward their goals. Overall, I am best suited to work with individuals who are ready to take an active role in their growth and are seeking a practical, evidence-based approach to achieving improved emotional well-being and resilience.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
In my work with clients, I’ve found Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to be a highly effective and practical approach. It provides a clear, structured framework that helps clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I’ve seen clients gain insight into unhelpful thinking patterns and develop the skills to challenge and reframe them in meaningful ways. What stands out most is how empowering CBT can be—clients often leave sessions with concrete tools they can apply in their daily lives, leading to noticeable improvements in coping, emotional regulation, and overall functioning. Its goal-oriented nature also allows for measurable progress, which helps build confidence and motivation throughout the therapeutic process.
