First session
During your first session, you can expect a comprehensive and supportive evaluation where we take time to understand your symptoms, history, and goals. I will review and explain your psychometric results in a clear, understandable way, and we will go over your current and past medications in detail. This is a collaborative process. I respect your preferences and decisions, and we will work together to choose the best treatment plan. I will discuss medication options with you, including the potential benefits and side effects, so you feel informed and confident in the decisions we make together.
Strengths
What stands out about my approach is the combination of thorough assessment and truly collaborative care. I use psychometric tools alongside clinical evaluation to ensure accurate diagnosis, and I take time to explain findings so clients fully understand their mental health. I integrate medication management with practical, evidence-based strategies, and I prioritize shared decision-making—providing clear education on benefits and side effects so clients feel informed and in control of their treatment.
Ideal clients
I am best positioned to serve individuals across the lifespan who are seeking thoughtful, comprehensive medication management alongside a deeper understanding of their mental health. I work well with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, trauma-related symptoms, and mood disorders, particularly those who feel misunderstood, have not responded well to prior treatment, or want a more thorough evaluation. My ideal clients are motivated to gain insight, open to a collaborative approach, and interested in combining medication with practical strategies to improve focus, emotional regulation, and overall functioning. I take a holistic, patient-centered approach, emphasizing careful assessment, use of psychometrics, and individualized treatment planning to help clients achieve lasting stability and clarity.
Treatment methods
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a structured, evidence-based approach to help patients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. In my practice, I guide patients in identifying negative thinking patterns and developing more adaptive ways of responding, while incorporating behavioral strategies such as exposure and behavioral activation. I integrate CBT with medication management when appropriate, focusing on practical skills that patients can use outside of sessions to improve functioning and long-term outcomes.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I incorporate mindfulness-based approaches to help patients increase awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations without judgment. In my practice, I teach grounding techniques, breathing exercises, and present-moment focus to reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and decrease reactivity. I often integrate mindfulness with other treatments, helping patients build practical skills they can use in daily life to manage stress and enhance overall well-being.
