Three words that describe my style are dynamic, high-energy, and empathetic. As your therapist, my primary goal is to connect with clients to help resolve everyday issues. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing self-esteem and relationship issues, relational trauma, that may cause increased stress and anxiety and depression. I have a great deal of experience working with military members and their families. I believe in taking a holistic approach tailored to exploring childhood and past experiences. By using empathy, I can connect with others to empower themselves to look beyond their traumas, life stressors, experiences, negative self-talk and thinking patterns, so that you can be who you need to be for yourself.
Clients can expect to leave our sessions feeling empowered, confident, and heard. I believe in providing psychoeducation to inform of the: "whys" to help aid in the healing process. To "fix" any issue, we must understand the root to receive guidance and clarity on how to move forward.
The treatment methods and tools that I utilize in my practice include CBT, Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy along with active listening, emotional support, and talk therapy. I also utilize worksheets and hands-on interactive activities to provide psychoeducation and exercises to practice implementing certain theories in everyday life.
My biggest strengths are my ability to relate to those struggling with relational issues, stressors, trauma, and life transitions. Life happens to every one of us. I believe that being able to normalize and provide empathy and support through rapport and connection is one of my biggest strengths that I hold. I also offer evening and untraditional session time slots for added flexibility so that my clients do not have to sacrifice to receive care!
