Years ago, I found myself facing challenges that felt overwhelming. Working with an exceptional therapist helped me heal, grow, and create a life that looked very different from the one I had been living. That experience was so transformative that I returned to graduate school in my 40s to pursue a new path—helping others create meaningful change in their own lives. Today, with more than 13 years of clinical experience, I help adults navigate trauma, relationship challenges, addiction recovery, identity exploration, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is warm, affirming, and practical. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be honest, supported enough to take risks, and empowered enough to move toward the life you want. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for something different, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

You don't need to have the right words. You don't need to know exactly what you want to work on. You don't even need to be sure therapy can help. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, stuck, or unsure where to begin. Therapy begins with a conversation. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. During our first session, I'll spend time getting to know you, learning about what has brought you to therapy, and understanding what you hope might be different in your life. We'll explore your current challenges, relevant history, strengths, and goals. There is no pressure to share everything at once. My priority is creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. By the end of our first session, we'll have a better sense of where you are, where you'd like to go, and how we can work together to help you get there.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is that I understand both the professional and personal sides of change. My own experience of overcoming significant life challenges and finding healing through therapy allows me to bring genuine empathy, hope, and authenticity to my work. Clients often describe me as warm, accepting, and easy to talk to. I strive to create a space where you can be fully yourself without fear of judgment, whether you're exploring difficult emotions, navigating relationships, processing trauma, or discovering who you are. I believe that feeling truly seen and understood is an important part of the healing process. I also bring more than 13 years of clinical experience and an eclectic, individualized approach to therapy. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques and tailor our work to your unique needs, goals, strengths, and values. My goal is to help you develop practical skills, gain deeper insight, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work especially well with clients who are seeking a therapist who will genuinely see, hear, and accept them without judgment. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling misunderstood, disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about who they are and where they belong. I have particular experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals navigating identity exploration, coming out, relationship concerns, family dynamics, and the challenges of living authentically. I also welcome clients with spiritual beliefs outside of mainstream Christianity, including pagan, earth-based, and other nontraditional spiritual paths, and I strive to create a space where those beliefs are respected and understood. I enjoy working with individuals living with Borderline Personality Disorder who are motivated to develop stronger emotional regulation skills, build healthier relationships, and create greater stability in their lives. More broadly, I work best with clients who are open to self-exploration, willing to try new approaches, and interested in learning new ways of understanding themselves and their experiences. Whether you're working through a specific challenge or simply seeking personal growth, therapy can provide a space to gain insight, build resilience, and create a life that feels more authentic and fulfilling.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

I view therapy as a collaborative process. I bring expertise in therapy, and you bring expertise in your own life. Together, we work as partners to better understand your challenges, identify your strengths, and create meaningful change. My approach is eclectic, which means I draw from a variety of evidence-based techniques and tailor therapy to your unique needs rather than relying on a single method. Depending on your goals, we may incorporate mindfulness, cognitive and behavioral strategies, trauma-informed approaches, emotional regulation skills, and practical tools for navigating life's challenges. Above all, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and affirming space where you can be fully yourself without judgment. Together, we'll work toward helping you feel more connected, resilient, and empowered to build a life that feels authentic and fulfilling.
